Wake up to paddies. The master bedroom opens directly toward the rice fields with full morning light and a view that does not get old. Half a kilometre of working paddies, no buildings interrupting it. It is the largest room in the villa, with a king bed positioned to face the view, wardrobe space for a two-week trip, and a desk if you need to work.

The garden room
Quiet and private, with a view over the tropical garden. A queen bed, soft lighting and a bathroom that feels more spa than villa. This room suits couples or solo travellers who want their own corner of the villa: slightly removed from the pool terrace, with a peaceful outlook.

The pool room
The most flexible room in the villa: configured as a queen or split into twin singles on request. It looks directly over the pool terrace and is closest to the outdoor bathtub. Well suited to kids, or two friends travelling together who want separate beds without separate rooms.

Open-plan living + dining
The living and dining area flows as one large room: no awkward divisions between where you eat and where you sit. Rattan furniture, ceiling fans, and doors that open fully to the terrace so the inside and outside blend. The dining table seats six, with cutlery and tableware for 10+. Invite friends from nearby villas over for a private chef dinner. The best nights in Bali end around your table.
Full kitchen
A proper working kitchen, not a kitchenette. Full-size fridge, four-burner gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, blender, rice cooker, and a full set of cookware and utensils for 10+ guests. Stock it from the Pererenan morning market and cook Balinese ingredients at home. Or let our private chef take over for the night.
Pool terrace
The heart of the villa. The pool runs along the terrace edge, with the rice fields beyond. Six sun loungers with cushions, a shaded sitting area, and enough deck space to spread out without everyone being on top of each other. The pool faces west and catches full afternoon sun. Golden hour by the water every day.
Outdoor bathtub
A freestanding stone bathtub set into the garden at the edge of the terrace, surrounded by tropical planting. It's the thing guests mention most in reviews. Use it at sunrise with coffee, or fill it at night with the garden lights on. The concierge can arrange flower petals and salts on request.
Garden
A mature tropical garden wraps the villa on three sides. Frangipani, palms and dense green planting keep it shaded and private. The garden is maintained daily and kept free of insect concerns.
Upstairs deck
A shaded deck on the upper level with seating for six. The rice fields stretch out in front of you, uninterrupted, for half a kilometre, with the coastline visible beyond. No construction cranes, no neighbouring rooftops. Just green. It's the afternoon drinks spot, and where our concierge sets up private morning yoga sessions on request.
Business centre
A dedicated meeting room with a proper table, seating for six, and a view over the rice fields. Fibre WiFi reaches every corner of the villa, so this is a genuine option for a video call or a working morning, not just a bedroom desk. Suits groups combining work and a Bali trip.
Sauna
A wood-lined sauna set behind glass, looking straight out over the rice fields. Included with every stay, along with the ice bath alongside it. Use it after a surf session, a morning workout, or whenever you want to reset.
Outdoor terrace
A private outdoor seating nook off the upper level, table for four, with rooftop and rice field views. A quiet spot for evening drinks after the day cools down.

We love animals, but Bali's wildlife, planting and pool surrounds are not suited to them. No pets at the villa.

Quiet hours: 10 PM to 8 AM
The villa sits on a working agricultural lane. Rice field workers and neighbouring families are up early. Loud music and gatherings after 10 PM are not permitted.

What people ask about the villa
For groups and families, almost always yes. The comparison is straightforward: private pool versus shared hotel pool, three bedrooms versus one hotel room, a full kitchen versus room service prices, a personal concierge versus a busy hotel front desk.
Split across six guests, Lumina Villa works out significantly cheaper per person than a mid-range Bali hotel, and the experience is not comparable. You have a home, not a room. You come and go as you like. There is no lobby, no queue at breakfast, no one using the sun lounger you wanted.
No heating is needed. Bali is tropical year-round, with daily temperatures sitting between 27 and 30 degrees C. The pool water stays at a naturally comfortable temperature throughout the day and remains warm well into the evening. Even in Bali's "cool season" (July and August), you will not find the pool cold.
Yes, and it suits families well. The villa is on a quiet residential lane with almost no through traffic: far better for young children than a busy Canggu street. The pool is private, which means no strangers and no sharing (though pool supervision is always required for young children).
The full kitchen means you can prepare meals at home rather than taking children to restaurants three times a day. A cot and high chair are available at no charge: just mention it when you book. Bedroom 3 can be configured as twin singles for two children sharing.
Yes. Complimentary airport pickup from Ngurah Rai International Airport is included with every booking. Your driver will meet you in arrivals and bring you directly to the villa: no negotiating with taxis, no waiting for rideshares.
