Yes. Direct WhatsApp booking is the standard in Bali and has been for years. Over 90% of private villa bookings on the island happen this way. It is not a workaround; it is how the industry operates.

At Lumina Villa, we provide a written booking confirmation before you transfer any payment. You receive your booking reference, a deposit receipt, check-in instructions, and our cancellation policy in writing. We are also listed on Booking.com for guests who prefer platform protection. Both options are valid. Direct booking simply removes the fees and puts you in direct contact with the team from the start.

Our cancellation policy is straightforward. Cancel 30 or more days before check-in and you receive a full refund. Cancel 15 to 29 days before check-in and you receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days of check-in are non-refundable.

That said, we are genuinely flexible. Travel plans fall apart for reasons that have nothing to do with wanting to leave: illness, flights, family situations. If your circumstances change, message us before you formally cancel. We will do what we can, whether that is moving your dates, holding a credit, or finding another arrangement. We would rather have a conversation than apply a policy.

Payment is via international bank transfer or PayPal. When we confirm your booking, we send you the payment details along with your quote.

A 50% deposit secures the booking. You receive a deposit receipt and written confirmation as soon as it clears. The remaining 50% is due 14 days before check-in. We send a reminder at that point. No surprises, no late fees.

Standard check-in is at 3:00 PM. Standard check-out is at 11:00 AM. This gives our housekeeping team time to prepare the villa properly between guests.

Early check-in from 12:00 PM is often available, depending on the previous guests' departure. If you are landing at midday and want to head straight to the villa, let us know when you book and we will do our best to accommodate. Late check-out can sometimes be arranged for a small additional fee. Just ask. Our complimentary airport pickup is timed to your actual arrival, so even if the villa is not ready, we can store your luggage and get you settled with a welcome drink.

Yes, fully. Our private chef service is designed around your group's needs. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and halal menus are all available. The chef shops fresh each day from local markets, so seasonal ingredients are used throughout.

The grocery stocking service can also be tailored. If you need particular products (baby food, specific dietary items, certain brands), include them in your list and we will source them before you arrive. Just let us know when you send your enquiry and we will note everything against your booking.

Small private celebrations, yes. We have hosted birthday styling setups, anniversary dinners, and proposals at the villa, all beautifully. Our concierge handles the flowers, the cake, the photo setup, and the timing. If this is something you are planning, message us early so we can coordinate properly.

What we do not host: large parties, events with external guests, or anything that would impact the neighbourhood. Jl. Babakan Kubu is a quiet residential street. The villa sleeps up to 6 guests, and that is the group we are set up to look after. The intimacy of the place is part of what makes it special. We protect that.
